Job Description

As a receptionist, you know first impressions matter. Join a brand-new Neurological service, The Lakefields in Chigwell, which is opening early 2024, where you will be a friendly face with a welcoming personality to greet staff, visitors and service users.Working 37.5hours a week you will work as part of the reception team, where you will be responsible for the telephone switchboards to support and direct callers to the correct department.You will manage and allocate keys and security ID badges for staff and visitors and will monitor and maintain security checks. There is also responsibility for managing the management diary, ordering stationary, refreshments, and toiletry supplies, and willensure the reception rota is appropriately staffed.Your responsibilities:

  • Greeting and assisting all arrivals promptly and friendly at The Lakefields, treating them in a courteous, pleasant and efficient manner
  • Ensure all telephone calls into main reception/switchboard are dealt with promptly and efficiently
  • Carrying out administrative tasks as required
  • Issue security passes, swipe cards and lanyards, and direct people to appropriate areas
  • Compiling end of shift reports to ensure all security passes and other items issued have been returned
  • Ensure the maintenance of the reception and waiting area environments to high standards, ensuring that any housekeeping or maintenance issues are reported to the appropriate teams.
  • Undertake security radio call outs to ensure radios are in full working order and staff are responding in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Take staff food orders and share these with the catering department
To be successful in this role, youll need:
  • Confident and capable computer use skills, including Microsoft Office

Where you will be working:The Lakefields Neurological Centre is a brand-new 22-bed service that delivers specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise their functionalability and improve their quality of life.The Centre specialises in neuro-rehabilitation, tracheostomy and ventilator care.Bedrooms are adapted to individual requirements, fitted with high dependency equipment including ceiling track hoists, wall mounted suction and oxygen equipment. There are also well-equipped therapy facilities, spacious lounge areas and wheelchair access tobeautiful gardens.What you will get:
