Job Description

If you are a skilled trades-personor ‘handy man’ with knowledge of Health & Safety standards and experience of managing a team and external contractors to ensure a safe and functioning environment, then join the team at The Lakefields Neuro Centre in Chigwellas a Maintenance Lead.As a valued member of the team, and with a team of your own, you will turn your hand to all maintenance-related tasks, liaise with contractors and be responsible for ensuring the service’s facilities are fit for purpose. This includes conducting regularaudits.As a Maintenance Lead at The Lakefields, you will be working 37.5 hour per week, with some on-call duties required, andwill have access to a range of training opportunities that can see your career grow to help you achieve your career aspirations.Your Responsibilities:

  • Organise and implement a planned preventative maintenance schedule to optimise standards and performance of hospital plant, equipment, buildings, and grounds.
  • Participate in all aspects of preventative and corrective maintenance on buildings structure and fittings.
  • Ensure adequate records of the planned maintenance and test results, e.g. Equipment logs, service certification, fire alarm logs.
  • Maintain safe working practices when operating hand, power and workshop tools.
  • To ensure that all electrical equipment is tested (PAT) in line with legislation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Experience within a similar role
  • General building trade experience
  • Ability to paint and decorate.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy
