Job Description

Here at Avant Homes, we are constantly striving to challenge the status quo in our relentless pursuit of good, better and different ways to standout as an employer of choice within the marketplace.Due to continuing business success and growth, we are currently recruiting for a Regional Development Assistant to join our team at our Central office in Holmewood.Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for a commercial administrator with experience working for another house builder.What will I be responsible forAs our Regional Development Assistant, you will support the Development team, covering commercial and development, under the direction of the Regional Development Director. You will also be responsible for:

  • Take a whole company perspective to the performance of the regional business by positively influencing and enhancing the profitability and operating effectiveness of the business.
  • Support the effective administration of the Commercial and Development teams as per the policies and processes under the direction of the Regional Development Director
  • Raise and process purchase order invoices and update third party consultant development fee trackers.
  • Print and distribute commercial packs and architectural and engineering drawings to all internal and external stake holders as required.
  • Obtain and maintain external consultant Professional Indemnity tracking schedules, ensuring all insurances are updated.
  • Ensure all working and project files are maintained and are up to date in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to the Commercial and Development function.
    • Who are we looking forAs our ideal Regional Development Assistant, you must also possess an aptitude to combine strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to relate to all levels of staff and stakeholders, whilst also maintaining a keen desire to work in a quality driven business. To be considered for this role you will also have the following skills and experience:
  • Extensive knowledge and application of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work under own initiative and manage time effectively
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • A basic understanding of House building
  • Numerical and Literate
