Job Description

Software DeveloperCounty DurhamPermanent£32,000Sellick Partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Software Developer for a professional services business in Chester-Le-Street. The role is paying up to £32,000 and offers hybrid working.Responsibilities of the Software Developer include:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using Laravel and MySQL
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient PHP code in alignment with best practices
  • Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving defects in the software
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure applications are current and competitive
  • Design and optimise MySQL databases, write efficient SQL queries, and ensure data integrity and security
The ideal candidate will:
  • Be proficient in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Have a bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
