Theyre dedicated to continuing its tradition of providing exceptional guest experiences across all its brands.Their group are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to support the award-winning leisure venues in the City Centre of Newcastle Upon Tyne.As Business Development Manager, you will be expected to Pro-actively drive awareness and maximise sales and reservations whilst taking on a high demand of booking requests daily, by booking platforms, emails, telephone, social media across a number of venues,whilst working closely with the General Managers to book private events throughout the year into the venuesYou will be Managing an efficient sales team of your own, ensuring the team is fully trained, ensuring all team members have up to date and booking information and processes to ensure the smooth operation of booking and events within each venue. Working andliaising with the social media and design team, offering direction and suitability of content for websites, print, social media and more.JOB DESCRIPTION* Ensuring maximum occupancy and revenue at all times across all leisure sites* Take the lead on all enquiries to ensure each booking has been dealt with accordingly and inputted on the system the same day they come in.* Ensure all reservations are accurately put onto the system and any pending enquires are chased daily.* Send out confirmations and cancellation requests to guests in time.* Ensure upselling of is performed on each enquiry where applicable.* Ensure you and the sales team are aware of any packages/offers and they are correctly put onto the system.* Arranging site visits for potential private hire, following through on enquiry to ensure sale and a flawless execution of a private party/event booking.* Arrange a weekly sales meeting and present all bookings, revenue and upcoming events with senior management.* Create outbound sales, to build awareness and help convert sales to private events, general bookings, corporate events & Christmas* Hosting and attending Networking events, to promote the brand.* Actively promote the venue via your own contacts, create contacts to develop future business for all sites, via Networking events* Preparing forecasts* Preparing reservations reports* Being aware of VIP client and any preferential rates.* Cross selling all Hotel properties, ensuring maximum occupancy in restaurants, function and event spaces and hotel rooms.Minimum of 3 years required in management experience of pro-active sales role within the hospitality industry.
