Working hours 37.5 hours per weekThe Business Intelligence Department has a number of new roles available for the right people to come and join our fantastic team. The additional roles demonstrate the recognition of the importance of of developing data and information as a critical asset. We are also working on a Data Science strategy that sets out the Trust’s ambition for a data-driven organisation.We are seeking to recruit a dynamic individual to become a Senior Information Analyst within the team. This is an exciting time for the Trust with the implementation of a new EPR in 2021 (Cerner), and Power BI. Using this new software will allow for further automation of reports, and allow the team to focus on predictive modelling, improved data quality, monitor outcomes and support operational managers with performance decisions and pathway management.This post will provide transformation support to the Trust and work closely with the Planning team, benchmarking the Trust using available tools. We are looking to automate routine reports using Power BI and this role will work with stakeholders and other analysts to develop specifications and design new reports. The post holder will provide specialist data science support and be proficient in the use of R software.The post holder will deputise for the Business Intelligence Manager, and provide specialist analyst support for junior members of the team. The Senior Information Analyst will be expected to develop excellent working relationships with Business Intelligence colleagues, senior managers and clinicians, promoting the proactive use of information.The role of the Senior Information Analyst is not just about numbers; the successful candidate will be expected to provide interpretation of key indicators and translate data into clear messages to support decision making. Where data suggests that there is room for improvement the Senior Information Analyst will be expected to present this information in a clear and unambiguous manner.The post holder will be managed by the Business Intelligence Manager and the role is based with the Business Intelligence team in Moston Lodge.Candidates are expected to be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant field or have significant relevant experience. The candidate will also have to demonstrate experience in a similar role, ideally within a healthcare setting. You will be an experienced user of Excel, sql, Power BI and R. You must be able to extract, interpret and present data in a clear and concise format, translating complex technical data into information.
