Job Description

Role: Systems AccountantLocation: Chester (Flexible hybrid-working policy)Salary: £42-46k + bonus (20% of salary) + loaded benefits packageThis is an exciting opportunity for a problem-solving Systems Accountant to work for an award-winning business with hits HQ based in Chester.This role will be responsible for system developments, enhancements and acceptance testing together with handling finance related support tickets and support queries from across the business. The role will require involvement with other ah-hoc projects asand when necessary.Your Responsibilities

Your role includes identifying, sharing, and spreading best practise throughout the business, and demonstrating excellent teamwork.
The role includes demonstrating excellent teamwork across all departments and the Group.
Support the Group Finance teams to provide the best experience to clients.
Enhance service to clients to achieve best in class documentation and service for financial related information.
Work with the data and platform development team in relation to the acquisitions.
Work with the data and platform development team to drive improvements and efficiencies in the current systems and processes.
Provide support with integrating the Group businesses, acquisitions, and review of / changes to processes. Provide data as per audit requests and to other external stakeholders Provide support to finance team and other departments with ad-hoc requests.
Working with external advisors to complete any initial accounting and legal requirements.
Liaising with colleagues around the business on systems development required for integrations.
Taking ownership of the Financial queries regarding the internal systems and resolving any technical issues.
Working with the existing teams to integrate the accounting systems of new business segments into the back-office software through specifying, developing, and testing any new system developments that are required.
Assist in improving processes across the company to increase efficiency.
Working with the existing team to support projects and other aspects of financial reporting.
Working with the existing team to support internal audit requirements.
Supporting external audit requirements.
Take a proactive approach to developing the internal systems where you see improvements, to increase efficiency.
