Job Description

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week Registered Nurses/Third year student nurses - Band 5 Main area: RespiratoryInformal visits are welcomed.Who Our Opportunity is for:

  • We are looking for registered nurses with an interest in Respiratory medicine to join us on our fast paced medical unit.
  • The Respiratory Unit has undergone extensive change to create a 10 bedded Respiratory Support Unit. The ward cares for patients with complex respiratory needs including tracheostomies and chest drains, some requiring thoracic suction. The Respiratory Support Unit is a level 2 area delivering non invasive ventilation. The successful candidate will work across both areas.
  • We have a strong tradition for team working with a multi-disciplinary approach. We are looking for a motivated individual with good organisational and time management skills. The ability to work flexibly, including nights and weekends is essential.
  • The applicant can specify which unit speciality they are interested in and that they are applying for.
  • Respiratory experience is preferred but not essential as training will be given once in post.
  • Preceptorship with Practice Development Nurse support will be offered where required.
