An excellent opportunity has arisen to join one of the North West’s most successful and award winning travel businesses as a Pricing Analyst, based in Chester.Reporting to the Market Pricing Manager your responsibilities will be as follows:-- Taking reactive calls to discuss property pricing and give data led advice- Developing a thorough understanding of Revenue Management processes, initiatives and decisions and using this information to provide expert advice to owners- Promoting revenue management initiatives such as Super Income Maximisation & Daily Pricing by selling the benefits. This requires a detailed understanding of the various options and commercial terms in order to maximise income and revenue- Reporting weekly on revenue and booking performance for both internal team and retention team use, with extensive analysis on key owner weeks such as Super Peak, looking at key metrics such as RevPAW, revenue per property, comparing with prior years and Revenue Management peer groups.- Driving up revenue by leading projects to identify areas of opportunity then working to improve revenue and booking performance. Analysing the top 5% and bottom 5% of performers in the portfolio and advising on best ways to optimise revenue- Mitigating the risk of bookings cannibalisation and associated churn of properties in regions with new acquisitions- Daily calls to discuss pricing where key commercial acumen is demonstrated as well as excellent customer experience. Advice for future pricing by analysing past performance against similar properties (within Revenue Management grouping).- Proactive calls to discuss Revenue Management plus other options. Targeted on income maximisation upgrades and daily pricing sign ups.- Leading projects to drive up revenue with tracking and reporting in place- Weekly reporting on revenue & booking performance for departure weeks and regionsTo be considered for this role you must have the following experience:-- Good numeracy and data interpretation skills- Understanding of factors affecting price levels- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)- Proven negotiator in difficult situations- Strong Commercial awareness (ideally within travel and tourism industry)- Understanding of browser based IT systems- Strong Experience of using MS Office suite (Excel etc)- Pricing background- Data analysis and data interrogation experience with mass volumes of data- Customer Experience Skills- Understanding of demand elasticity and revenue management- Experience of contract and commercial terms negotiation- Ability to effectively communicate with other teams to influence change- Experience of working within the travel and tourism industry and/or property sectors (e.g. estate agency or residential lettings)- Experienced SQL userAs well as a salary of up to £23,000 DOE, you will receive an outstanding benefits package including 33 days’ holiday (including bank holidays), an additional day off during the week of your birthday, an annual bonus scheme plus staff discounts and much more.
