Job Description

Part time Flights Travel consultantWe currently have a new opportunity in Chester to work as a part time Airfares Consultant for a tour operator selling solely to the trade, tour operators and travel agents. Ideally from a flights reservations background we are seeking someone with excellentFares experience on a major GDS - either Amadeus or Sabre or Galileo and flight reservation experience.As a part time Flights Travel Consultant, you will have:

  • Experience from a flight brokers or tour operator flights department, a travel agent or travel agency, where you have had to book schedule fares or from a Business Travel background working on the airfares team or ticketing team perhaps.
  • Excellent fares knowledge
  • Experience using the GDS Amadeus or Sabre or Galileo
The role of part time Airfares Travel Consultant will involve: -
  • Dealing with Travel Agents, tour operators or similar via telephone and e-mail
  • Selling Round the World and multi-sector itineraries
  • Assisting with group enquires from agents
  • Assisting with pre-departure enquires to include reissues and refunds
  • Issuing schedule Airline tickets
Other info:In return you will expect to earn a salary of £20k -25k a year FTE, with an OTE of around 30k+ ( FTE) depending on experienceAs a part time consultant you will be required to work a min of 22.5 hours a week between Mon - Fri 9am - 5.45 and 1 in 4 Saturdays or more if preferable.
