Are you ready to take on the challenge of some of the most amazing event locations in the UK and develop your crew to be one of the countrys finest event building teams Our client is working all over the UK with festivals like Glastonbury, Creamfields and Kendal Calling and with other huge UK brands like the BBC & ITV as well as supporting with pioneering new events like E-Extreme Race for the Planet!We are looking for enthusiastic, trustworthy, and highly organised individuals with a can-do attitude who arent afraid of a challenge and thrive within a lively, fast-paced environment.As the Event Build Manager you will be responsible for leading the Crew to build and dismantle the event marquees plus undertaking other tasks such as laying trackway and erecting signage. You will be creating amazing events from weddings to festivals and everythingin between with some of the biggest brands in the UK.Your hands on and energetic approach coupled with your ability to prioritise at pace will ensure your success. You will manage a Crew of 8-10 following Health & Safety procedures and ensuring customer satisfaction is at the heart of everything you do. IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Mandatory qualifications: Full clean UK driving licence

THE ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage a team of Supervisors & Crew to build and dismantle sites within the timescales allowed
• Maintain a motivated team and ensure they work efficiently with a positive attitude
• Ensure health and safety is upmost in your teams minds at all times and supervise your team to make sure they are working to health and safety standards travelling, on site and in the warehouse/yard
• To provide team briefings prior to every job commencing and debriefs following every dismantle to ensure the team are aware of what went well and how they can improve on the next build
• To be the first point of contact for all team members in relation to any queries, personnel issues and complaints
• Make sure all equipment and vehicles are always treated with respect by all team members
• To ensure timely communication of delays and issues that effect service or profitability to the Operations Manager
• To take overall responsibility for the quality of the instillation/dismantle of the marquee and relevant finishing/accessories and liaise with client on site to ensure they are happy with the build and any requests are managed efficiently
• To be part of an on call rota with other Site Managers and Operations Managers to ensure emergencies are dealt with swiftly
• Ensure all sites are left tidy and clear of obstructions or health and safety risks and the site completion checklist is filled in
• To ensure all equipment is collected up and accounted for on dismantle, and the returns paperwork is completed
• Taking on additional responsibilities such as refurbishing equipment, cleaning, re-organising etc in quieter periods
• This is not a typical 9-5 job. Early starts and long days are the norm during peak season. Availability to work weekends is an integral part of the job. There is a possibility of overnight stays, for which accommodation will be provided.
