Job Description

Therapy Manager Inpatient Speech and Language and Dietetics 1 year fixed termHours: 22.5hrs (0.6wte) We have a fantastic opportunity for a senior Therapist with previous management experience to undertake the established role of Therapy Manager (SLT & Dietetics) at Ashford and St Peters NHS Trust.You will have responsibility for leading a number of SLT’s and Dieticians in a number of inpatient areas including:

  • Acute and Medical teams
  • Cardio-Respiratory team (incl. critical care)
  • Surgery
  • Orthopaedics (Trauma and Elective)
    • You will be supported by the Associate Director of Therapies and you will work closely with the other two Therapy Managers.There is an operational component of the role in terms of facilitating flow and discharge within the Trust, and ensuring that we deliver effective and efficient therapy services by competent and engaged clinicians. There is also a strategic component of the role in terms of transforming and modernising our services so that we meet the increasing demand through developing new ways of working, new models of care, or new roles.There is scope for redesigning our services along clinical care pathways and you will help facilitate this. You will work collaboratively with the leadership, nursing and medical teams within the clinical divisions to continually improve services and promote an integrated, patient-centered approach to service delivery.Applicants should have current registration with the HCPC in either of the 2 relevant professions. They should have a Masters level qualification or able to demonstrate that they are working at this level.Applicants will need to have significant clinical, leadership and managerial experience and expertise, together with a track record in performance management as well as innovative approach to service development.For further information please contact Rachel Parrott, Associate Director of Therapies or Ciara Tilley, Therapy Manager
