Paediatric Home Enteral Feeding DietitianWe are looking for an enthusiastic, Dietitian with excellent communication skills, and experience working with children with complex needs receiving home enteral nutrition to join our Paediatric Therapy Team.The Paediatric Home Enteral Feeding service is a well-established service within the Hospital and Community with existing good working relationships within the wider Paediatric Team. You will need to have some previous experience of managing children on enteral feeds and demonstrate an understanding and passion for working with this special patient group.The successful candidate will work within the community setting covering clinics at schools for children with special educational needs, clinics on the hospital site and home visits. Many of these clinics are currently being held virtually. They will work closely with other members of the MDT including Paediatricians, SLT, Children’s Community Nurses, Health Visitors and Dietitians at Tertiary Centres. In addition they will take responsibility for service development, for updating relevant information and patient resourcesThe post also has a dedicated administrator to support the dietitian. Their main roles include, clinic administration, triaging phone calls and emails and managing patients feeding supplies, deliveries and account with the enteral feeding contract supplier.This post is funded by the CCG and managed by the Clinical Lead for Paediatric Dietetic & SLT and NICU therapy services at ASPH and is well supported by the Dietetic team at ASPH. The Dietetics team has specialities in Diabetes, Bariatric surgery, Paediatrics, Eating disorders, Gastro as well as acute and community nutrition support.The department is strongly committed to Clinical Governance and Continuing Professional development with an excellent support and clinical supervision structure in place.
