Job Description

BI Engineer - Chertsey (hybrid)Salary: up to £80,000 (12 month Fixed Term Contract)As a BI Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with one of the worlds most renowned and esteemed brands. Your role will involve participating in the planning, design, and development of cutting-edge digital solutions for the company.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business management within large corporations or consulting firms specializing in management consulting
  • Extensive understanding and experience in implementing modern data warehousing (MPP Database) and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik
  • Deep understanding and experience with Power BI Service, Azure Analysis Service, Tabular Modeling, REST API, XMLA Endpoint, and Dataflows in Power BI
  • Familiarity with Agile processes, preferably Scrum
  • Proficiency in extracting and manipulating large data sets using T-SQL, DAX, MDX, and Python
  • Experience in designing and constructing large-scale, distributed systems
  • Familiarity with various databases and modeling techniques (e.g., MS SQL, Azure Synapse, MariaDB)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and preferably Korean, to effectively convey complex ideas
In-depth understanding of the following technologies/methodologies:
  • Azure and/or AWS
  • Power BI, Qlik, Tableau
  • Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Azure Analysis Service
  • C#/.NET, Python
  • Azure Data Services/Azure SQL Data Warehouse
  • Restful API
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend business and technical requirements Experience in complex data modeling
  • Proficiency in identifying and communicating issues/risks through technical and root cause analysis Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
