Job Description

Well be bold and open-minded in our pursuit of solutions to help people transform their lives.What youll be doingWe are looking for a Driver Warehouse Assistant, who will assist the Operational Supply Chain Coordinators and trade teams with the collection and delivery of key items to enable them to complete jobs to performance and productivity standards, along withundertaking various tasks within the warehouse as required.

  • Collect and deliver materials and equipment for all teams in a timely manner as directed by the Supply Chain Coordinators.
  • Clear and remove all surplus materials, plant, tools and waste from site and other locations and ensure this is disposed of into the CHP skips in a safe manner as directed to assist the Operational trades teams.
  • Be responsible for the upkeep of a CHP vehicle and report any incidents or defects with the vehicle.
  • Maintain accurate records of van stock and deliveries to and from the warehouse using CHP systems. Assist in maintaining sufficient and suitable stock to enable the warehouse to operate effectively and efficiently.
  • Undertake any other responsibilities relevant to this post, as directed by your line manager.
RequirementsWhat were looking for
  • Evidence of attainment of good literacy and numeracy, eg, through GCSEs or equivalent or equivalent demonstrable prior learning.
  • Full, current driving licence.
  • Good knowledge of routes and the geographical area that CHP operates within.
  • Knowledge of health and safety and compliancy matters in a maintenance and warehouse environment including knowledge of waste management and recycling practices.
  • Able to carry out manual handling tasks on a daily basis, including lifting items with the aid of a trolley or other mechanical device and unaided within HSE guidelines.
