SQL BI Developer - Remote WorkingRate: £500 to £525 PD (Inside IR35) - 6 month contract - Chatham or Wolverhampton - 100% remote working - 35 hour week Company: A highly reputable financial organisation is currently searching for two interim SQL BI Developers on a 6 month rolling contract paying up to £525 per day (Umbrella). This is an exciting time to join our client as they embark on a 2-year cloud transformationproject. The chosen SQL BI Developer must have strong capabilities in T-SQL (2012+), SSIS/SSRS and ETL processes to be considered for this opportunity preferably within a Regulated Environment. Job Responsibilities: To have responsibility for the delivery of BI into a significant business stream, working with available tools to design, develop, unit test, implement, and maintain BI solutions. To provide technical leadership in development and operation across the Microsoft SQL stack and contemporary visualisation tools. To work with senior business managers to identify appropriate solutions to strategic and operational requirements. To work proactively with Change Management Project Managers and Business Analysts in the delivery of agreed solutions. To maintain the integrity of both the design and the data that is held within the architecture To support Business As Usual (BAU) activities, liaising closely with Change Management analysts. To collaborate and feedback with/to necessary stakeholders regarding requirements, solutions, issues, and progress. To maintain documentation (user manuals, processes, data dictionaries etc) with regards to BI solutions. To challenge working practices, processes, tools, technologies etc in order to improve the quality and volume of output.Key technical skill set: In-depth knowledge of SQL (preferably T-SQL in SQL Server 2012 onwards). Good knowledge of database design, theory, and best practices Good knowledge of ETL processes both SQL and SSIS Strong experience in leading the design and development of BI solutions within data presentation tools (SSRS, essential; TIBCO Spotfire, (desirable), and good knowledge of design best practices Good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, essential) Strong experience in the design, development and maintenance of ETL processes Good knowledge of database design, theory, and best practices Experience of working in a formal change management process Experience of working in a formal release process. Strong experience of work estimation. Strong experience of stakeholder management to Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Business Users and Senior IT Management.
