Job Description

Belcan Workforce Solutions is hiring on an Inside IR35 basis for a 12 month contract.Monday to Friday 37 hours per week working at our clients COMAH site in North Kent.Our client requires rotating mechanical technical authority support on the commissioning of a Gas Storage Tank and Main Site Works packages.The Mechanical Rotating Engineer role shall ensure that all deliverables produced and work undertaken by third-party Design houses, framework suppliers or EPC contractors is compliant with Legislation, Standards and Customers policies and procedures.Technical assurance shall cover, but not be limited, to the following areas:

  • Review all system procedures (Mechanical input)
  • Review all FAT & SAT procedures
  • Attend FATs as required
  • Respond to any RFIs or TQs from EPC
  • Ensure preservation of all mechanical equipment is maintained
  • Oversee installation of mechanical rotation equipment
  • Co-ordinate key activities and oversee construction activities with vendor EPC and Terminal personnel
  • Lead pre-commissioning mechanical team
  • Ensure quality of handover documentation and accept mechanical test records
  • Witness all vendor SATs (mechanical equipment)
  • Review and accept mechanical RAMS
  • Support final commissioning and performance testing
Also, the rotating mechanical technical authority is required to provide interface oversight of the new planned mechanical equipment being installed (mechanical, electrical, C&I and drainage interfaces) and ensure that its design fully meets supply requirementswithout impacting the operational site.Key Milestones over the next 12 months within this scope of work-Tank Jib Crane FATClosure of Rotating Mechanical EPC and vendor documentationSite Acceptance Testing for ex-tank pumpsSite Acceptance Testing for BOG CompressorsSite Acceptance Testing of VaporisersSite Acceptance Testing of In-Tank PumpsPlease apply via the link and suitable candidates will be contacted.Belcan is looking to hire ASAP on this 12 month commissioning project.This vacancy is being advertised by Belcan
