Job Description

* Finance Manager* Circa £65k* Private HealthcareRadar Recruitment are exclusively working with a company, very local to ourselves, near the Rochester area, supporting them in their search for a new Finance Manager. Reporting into the Financial Controller and site Finance Lead, you will be responsible forthe management of a small team and lead on reporting activities for Group. This role will suit individuals who have either operated as a Finance Manager / Financial Controller previously, or for a Management Accountant / Financial Accountant in a larger organizationwho has also had a managerial remit.The Company: established organisation who doubled Group turnover last year, they have experienced significant growth the acquisition of brands that physically compliment their network.The Team: a small, hands-on, operational team, the close-knit nature of the business means regardless of size and complexity, you will be able to see the impact you have on other departments (warehousing / distribution, commercial etc.)The Role: make it your own, develop your direct reports, coach and mentor, there is a real opportunity here for an individual to take an autonomous position with the management team and influence business decisions across the wider organisation.Responsibilities:

  • Ensure monthly Consolidated Management Accounts are submitted on time and accurately in line with group deadlines
  • Assist with monthly and annual forecast reporting ensuring they are submitted accurately and in line with group deadlines
  • Investigate, resolve and provide commentary on variances on Management Accounts and Balance Sheet reconciliations for monthly review with Group Financial Controller
  • Oversee distribution of weekly bookings reports to Sales team
  • Distribute Divisional profit and loss budget report & review with senior divisional heads where required
  • Lead Debtor and Creditor meetings with senior divisional heads
  • Oversee Capex in line with Group authority
  • Ownership of Group stock reporting ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Develop financial policies and procedures for the company and monitor compliance
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly HMRC returns timely and accurately to deadline
  • Preparation of draft statutory accounts for the Group
  • Preparation of draft statutory accounts for subsidiaries
  • Lead audit including provision of information to auditors as required
  • Preparation and review of Group corporation tax workings
  • Manage monthly reconciliation requirements of invoice finance facility to strict deadlines including audits as required
  • Manage credit cards in line with Group policy
  • Lead and mentor Group Finance team to meet all required deadlines
  • Develop Group Finance team by providing regular reviews and appraisal of objectives
Profile:

  • An expert using Excel (particularly in use of pivot tables).
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Experience and good working knowledge of consolidation and business combinations
  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA, QBE to be considered
On Offer:
  • Working hours 8.30am - 5.00pm, office-based during probation, flexibility mutually agreed on successful completion of probation
  • Salary £60k - £65k DOE
