Systems Developer - Hybrid - Work from Home

  • Full time permanent contract
  • £30-£35K per annum
  • Hybrid working model3 days Work from Home, 2 days in the office

An exciting opportunity for a Systems Developer position. This would suit someone who gets into the nitty gritty of back-office systems to help the end user.They are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Systems Developer who is keen to learn and develop their skills and start the next stage of their career to join their professional web development team.The RoleThe successful candidate will be required to work closely with the company owners. The key responsibilities of the position will be to:
  • Analyse and re-design clients existing business processes to improve end-to-end integration.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather the business system requirements.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy the newly developed systemthe modular and scalable bespoke business system within the company and replace the existing legacy system(s).
  • Solid experience with PHP and MySQL.
  • Experience with Laravel framework preferably, or knowledge of an alternative MVC framework.
  • Familiarity with Apache, GIT, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Embed and exploit the knowledge and expertise transferred during the project within the company and communicate any technical concepts appropriately and effectively to different stakeholders.
  • Perform administrative tasks relevant to the project, as assigned by the line manager.
  • Author reports to all stakeholders showing the progress of the project.
  • Understanding of systems integration and change management.
  • Knowledge of business process modelling methods.
The Person
  • At least 3 years experience in a similar role.
  • An independent, self-motivated worker who can take a proactive role to successfully deliver the work plan in the proposal, who is also happy and prepared to be coached and follow a team-based approach.
  • Excellent communication skills to express ideas adequately and articulate complicated matters between the client and the company project team members either orally or in writing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and computational skills along with being Adept at applying knowledge to commercial projects, driving value, and making an impact where possible.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level in Computer Science or Applied Computing Discipline with a First Class (or 2:1 Honours)
  • Masters and PhD students are also welcome
