Job Description

Registered Night Nurse (RGN)

  • £18.40 Per Hour.
  • Sheffield.
  • Nights.
  • Full Time.
An excellent job opportunity has arisen for a committed nurse to work in a care home based in Sheffield as a Registered Nurse.This care home provides the highest quality of care to all their residents who are a mix of Residential and Nursing.As a Nurse your key duties include:
  • General Nursing duties-Wound care/general observation/blood sugar level testing/liaising with other healthcare professionals to give the best care.
  • Being responsible for ordering, storing and administering medication
  • Keeping precise, up to date records
  • Maintaining the Clients dignity and respect at all times
  • Enusring the safety of all residents at all times
What is the role
  • Medication responsibility
  • Delivery of Complex medication
  • Meds Audit including safe disposal
  • Mar charts, counts
  • Urinary catheterization
  • Syringe Drivers
  • Responsible for safe storage of meds
  • Delivery of personal care to the people we support
  • Write/updates Care Plans
  • Participates in social actives with people we support
  • Complete fluid/food charts/Daily diary
  • Liaising with other health care professionals (GP, District nurse, podiatrist, etc.)
  • Keep daily paperwork up to date to ensure we have captured everything that has happened in the day
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to deliver care, without direct supervision
  • Competent in Medication Management
  • Ability to follow the Nursing process-Assessment/Diagnosis/Planning/Implementation/Evaluation
  • Maintaining the Clients dignity and respect at all times
  • NMC Pin Required
