Job Description

Location: AirdrieSalary: £45,000 - £50,000 + car allowance + bonusHours: Monday to FridaySummary:This customer centric and highly regulated organisation is seeking a financially astute and excellent manager of people to run their distribution centre in Scotland. You will need to have significant logistics/distribution experience ideally gained fromwithin a multi temp regulated environment and hold a CPC qualification. High standards of communication skills are required not only for staff management, training development and succession planning but for creating a best in class environment and the enhancementof customer service and future business development. You will be responsible for a team of staff and a mixed fleet of vehicles ensuring a positive H&S culture and compliance to legislation at all times. You will hold full P&L responsibility for the site andtherefore need proven commercial awareness and be experienced in working to budgets, targets and KPIs as well as having the capabilities to identify and secure additional business.Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a positive Health and Safety culture in a highly regulated environment
  • Continuously challenge transport KPIs to drive continuous improvements
  • Hold full P&L responsibility
  • Maintain regular contact with clients and pro-actively manage service levels
  • Develop a well motivated and engaged team
Key Skills/Experience:
  • Financially astute able to interpret financial data including budget management
  • CPC holder - preferable
  • Proven track record of developing and leading a high performing team
  • Experience of running multi temp vehicles
  • Able to demonstrate significant improvements in service, cost and people development
  • Good geographical knowledge of Scotland
