Job Description

We are representing our client in the recruitment of a Senior Management Accountant for their Finance DepartmentIn this role, you will serve as the Lead Management Accountant for the largest trading entity within the group. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, your primary responsibility is to ensure the accurate preparation of management reports and thetimely provision of critical financial information to relevant stakeholders. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing a team of two Assistant Management Accountants.Experience & Professional Qualifications:

Fully qualified in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
1-2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
Strong understanding of insurance principles is preferred
Proficiency in efficient month-end close processes
Proven experience in delivering audit requirements within specified timelines
Familiarity with the demands of working in a rapidly growing group, including knowledge of consolidation principles, acquisition accounting, and project management skills

Skills Required:

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage month-end processes efficiently and meet tight deadlines
Good knowledge of general ledger and other financial systems, with a capacity to quickly adapt to new systems
Strong IT skills, including expertise in MS Office, advanced Excel capabilities (e.g., pivot tables and Vlookups)
Keen attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and perform well under pressure
Effective written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
Strong interpersonal and teamworking abilities, enabling collaboration with colleagues at all levels, including non-finance staff

Key Responsibilities:

Management of a team of two Assistant Management Accountants
Lead the management accounting function for the largest entity within the group
Oversee the month-end closing processes across all areas
Play a crucial role in the annual audit process for primary financial statements
Collaborate with the division Finance Director and engage with the FP&A team, providing input into the budget-setting process
Contribute significantly to the implementation of control mechanisms in the financial environment
