Job Description

JUNIOR DATA ENGINEER£40,000 - £45,000 + BONUS + BENEFITSCENTRAL LONDONReady to step into Big Data Have experience programming in Python/AWS This is the ideal career development opportunity for you.THE COMPANY:This company have just completed the build of a fully operational AWS/PySpark data platform and are looking for Junior Data Engineers to assist with the data lake architecture and maintaining functionality across the company. Youd be joining at a pivotal point in their journey - why wait!THE ROLE:You will be a key player in executing the companys data strategy, and specifically you can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Being responsible for DataOps, managing, building, and delivering on ad-hoc data requests (Python)
  • Contributing towards the data platform and data lake architecture (AWS)
  • Design, create, and implement ETL pipelines in Python/PySpark that are scalable and robust
  • Work closely with the remainder of your team and the Software Engineers to ensure best code quality and TDD/CI/CD practices.
  • YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:To be considered, you must have the following attributes, skills, and experiences:
  • Educated to a Bachelors degree level in Computer Science, or related field.
  • Have commercial experience coding in Python, and SQL.
  • Proven commercial experience working with the AWS tech stack, and a great knowledge of the advance components (Lambda, Kinesis)
  • Exposure and working knowledge of data storage solutions, including BigQuery, Redshift, and Snowflake.
  • THE BENEFITS:The successful applicant will receive a salary - dependent on experience - between £40 - 50,000.
