Job Description

IT Manager / Support Manager (Cinema and Film client):

  • Company and role: Our client is a leading UK cinema chain who are looking for an IT Manager to join them on a permanent basis.This is a hands-on role which sees the IT Manager both delivering and facilitating the support and delivery of a diverse suite of applications, systems and networks across both a traditional IT environment and the rather more unique cinema audio-visual environment.We are after someone who will come in and manage the day to day operation of the Cinemas IT whilst ensuring that 3rd parties who play a pivotal role in supporting some of the company’s business critical systems, sufficiently deliver their services in line with agreed SLA’s.This is a role that is well suited to someone from a Retail/Hospitality environment with any cinema, AV or film distribution experience being evidently advantageous.As the line manager of a small team consisting of two direct reports, it is important you possess the hands-on technical experience to happily resolve anything from a printer issue through to a network or server problem.Job overview:
  • Manage monitoring, maintenance & operation current IT systems, operating systems, software etc.
  • Oversee provision of IT Support for multiple Cinema sites and Head office.
  • Monitor any support services provided by 3rd parties ensuring SLA’s are always adhered to.
  • Ensure newly created IT knowledge base is maintained with documentation etc.
  • Support Head of IT in delivering on requirements derived from the business’s compliance obligations.
  • Support and assist the Head of IT on the implementation of all system developments.
  • Minimum of 5 years working within a multisite retail/hospitality IT environment (or similar).
  • Essential Technical Skills:The candidate must have experience in implementing and administrating
  • Virtualisation - VMWare; vCentre vSphere.
  • Core Microsoft systems - Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365/Exchange online etc.
  • Security Applications - Centralised Anti-Virus Systems, Mail Filters, Web Filters.
  • Network Management - Cisco, Firewalls, Switches, Routers.
  • IP Based Telephony and Mobile Administration - Hosted PBX, MDM’s.
  • End User Desktop Environment - Windows OS, Office Desktop Suite.
  • Desirable skills:
  • Linux Server Administration.
  • Mac OS.
  • Microsoft Power Bi.
  • Cinema or Film Distribution Experience
  • Storage Management - SAN (Fibre Channel and ISCSI).
  • Azure.
  • Powershell Scripting experience.
  • SQL Database Administration.
  • Audio Visual Systems.
