The Starting Well service operates across seven localities Redditch, Bromsgrove, Worcester City, Wyre Forest, Wychavon and Droitwich and Malvern.The School Health Nursing role encompasses health assessments of children, working within schools and communities, supporting parents/carers and promoting positive mental wellbeing in young people. They provide Drop in’s within high schools and work very closely with education. Alongside the above safeguarding is our main priority.We work very closely with our partner agencies to enrich the mix of skills and strengthen our position as the ‘provider of choice’. Working within the new ‘Starting Well Service are Health Visitors, School Health Nurses, Nursery Nurses, Health Care Support Workers and Breast feeding Support.You need to have a passion for working with children, young people and families and have a comprehensive understanding of safeguarding children and young people.
