Job Description

Health & Ed Recruitment is a specialist recruitment agency for temporary and permanent professionals in Health & Social Care and Education. They are looking for a Semi Independent Manager to join a 24 hour semi-independent unit based in South East/South West London.The ideal candidate will be managing the placement and staff team to provide a high quality of service for the resident of young people by developing their skills and participating in their personal interests within a safe and structured environment, helping to make a positive difference in their lives.Positive attributes include:

  • Ability to work under pressure, priorities work and meet deadlines.
  • Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Oversee on a day-to-day basis, the care and development of all residents, alongside the management, development and co-ordination of the Home and Outreach work.
  • Manage the staff teams personal development and training within the Home.
  • Directing support staff in daily tasks
  • To ensure that a safe, caring and homely environment is maintained which will allow and encourage the residents to develop to their full potential.
  • Ability to use own initiative to think of solutions
  • Liaise and cooperate with placing social workers.
  • Provide information, emotional support and deliver group-based support where appropriate.
  • Key requirements:
  • Minimum 2 year working with young people 16+ within a semi-independent setting
  • Qualification NVQ Level 5 Leadership and Management
