Job Description

Urgent requirement for an experienced Broker Support Advisor to join a leading Insurance Underwriter, operating across Ireland and the UK.This is a full-time, 12-month contract. (will consider part time for the right candidate)Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pmOffice location: CavanRemote/WFHSalary: €20,000 - €25,000 (depending on experience)Job Purpose:To liaise and deal with all underwriting queries from our broker panel.Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 5 GCSE’S, Grade C or above, including English or Maths, or equivalent
  • 2 years personal lines insurance experience.
  • Computer literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels using a variety of media.
  • An effective, willing, and enthusiastic team player.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to act on own initiative.
  • Ability to make prompt decisions.
  • Possesses the energy, enthusiasm, and ability to work within a demanding environment that requires a hands-on approach.
  • Desirable Criteria:
  • CIP or APA qualification in personal lines
  • Overview of responsibilities:
  • Review referrals from broker panel to confirm if risks acceptable and premium required.
  • Review internal audits on accepted risks.
  • Retention of existing broker base.
  • Ensuring all underwriting is conducted within Authority limits.
  • Review renewal risks
  • Responding to complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Dealing with broker panel queries in a professional manner at all times.
  • Ensuring that trading standards are being met.
  • Liaise with Accounts Department to assist with collection of premiums.
  • Monitoring and keeping up to date with technical and regulatory matters
  • Ensuring personal awareness and understanding of internal standards and procedures
