Job Description

Finance Manager – 12 month contract opportunityREED Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be representing our client, one of Northern Ireland’s leading employers who are recruiting for a Finance Manager on an interim basis for a period of 12 months.This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with the Financial Director in a dynamic team environment.The JobWorking closely with the Finance Director the Finance Manager will assist in managing the team as well as developing the accounting systems and processes.More specific duties will involve:Assisting the Finance Director in producing annual budgets, monthly management accounts and ad-hoc reports as required. Reporting against budget and preparing analysis of all variancesDeveloping tools and systems to provide critical financial information to the Directors and Managers, and to make actionable recommendations on strategyManage the bank reconciliation process for all company bank accountsManage the purchase ledger staff and reconcile difficult purchase ledger accountsLiaising with Sales ledger staff in respect of receipts and reconciling receipts to the company’s accounting systemReconciliation of Intercompany transactionsPreparing the management accountsOnline shop performance analysisRetail shops accounting issues – Corporate accounts, etcPreparing monthly management accounts for all Retail shops (Stg & ROI)Daily postings from cash books to maintain general ledgerGeneral ledger journals including accruals and prepaymentsWrite up, posting and reconciliation of books of prime entry (multi-currency)Manage the cheque journals and cash receiptsBalance sheet reconciliationsBank reconciliationsThe PersonCandidates will ideally hold a professional qualification CIMA, ACA, ACCA although candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.Candidates will have 2 years post qualified experienceCandidates will have experience preparing management accounts and bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.Candidates will ideally have wholesale industry experience as well as experience in a multi-site work environmentCandidates will have strong analytical skills and commercial awareness and will be able to be make decisions to support the businessA knowledge of SUN accounting software would be an advantage.Get in TouchPlease get in touch with Lizzy Lyons on and email an up to date cv to
