Work base is NHS Lanarkshire, Law House, Airdrie Road, Carluke ML8 5EP. Currently during Scottish Government Guidelines staff are working from home.Due to the rural nature of the Clydesdale locality a driving licence is essential for the team leader post.Working across Hamilton and Clydesdale localities in South Lanarkshire, you will provide effective operational management and professional leadership to a discrete team of Health Improvement staff within the overall Health Improvement Department. This post has responsibility for an extensive portfolio of health improvement and health inequalities work, and requires leadership for health improvement work to reflect policy and practice. You will be an effective communicator to establish new, and build on existing partnerships with multi-agencies across South Lanarkshire. The Team Leader will ensure that workplans address the 6 Public Health Priorities including recovery work from Covid.Educated to degree level, with relevant post graduate qualification and substantial relevant experience, you should have relevant staff management experience, a track record of strategic planning and partnership working, and good understanding of public health, health improvement and health inequalities.The post holder must be qualified to degree standard Masters in public health or relevant health improvement topic or working towards a Masters postgraduate qualification in public health or relevant health improvement topic
