Job Description

One of my clients based in Cardiff is looking for a UX designer to join them on a contract basis. The role will be fully remote and the client is looking to get the role filled ASAP. You need active SC clearance to be applicable for this position.Below is the JD, please apply below if you are interested in the role and i will drop you a call today.UX Designer Role and Responsibilities

  • Conducts user related research
  • Creates wireframe designs (HMI)
  • Designs workflows and wireflows (HMI)
  • Creates the visual style
  • Identifies UI components
  • Designs the interaction behaviour
  • Ensure compliance to the style guide
  • Prototype design and evaluations
  • Generate and update UX design documentation
  • Primary UX point of contact for software development teams
Skills:
  • Skilled in design thinking and user interface design (software)
  • Skilled in user research methods
  • Skilled in evaluation methods
  • Skilled in prototyping methods
  • Experience generating production ready wireframes and wireflows
  • Experience conducting design reviews with stakeholders
  • Skilled in style guide development and maintenance
  • Experience in Axure
  • Experience working with Design Systems such as GDS
  • Experience designing from user requirements
  • Experience working effectively in small teams (10-12)
  • Skilled working collaboratively with multi-disciplined teams
  • Skilled in clearly communicating the design processes, ideas, solutions and rationale
  • Experience working with software development teams
  • Skilled in advocating for the user with all stakeholders
  • Demonstrates an understanding of UX best practices
  • Experience working with human factors engineering (desired)
  • Experience with DEF-STANs and GVA Technical Guides (desired)
  • Defence experience (desired)
