Job Description

Sustainability Engineer- CardiffCompetitive Starting Salary + BenefitsRef: SY1288Our client, a well-known multi-disciplined construction and property consultancy, with offices throughout the UK, are currently on the lookout to add a Senior Sustainability Engineer to their award-winning Sustainability Team based in Cambridge.Your new role as a Senior Sustainability Engineer will have an initial focus on the day-to-day delivery of projects including sustainability assessments (BREEAM, HQM, Passive House), planning reports and client liaison. Some additional duties of this rolemay involve:

  • Work on a wide range of projects including residential, mixed-use, commercial, industrial and educational.
  • Develop and present project sustainability design proposals to the project team and client.
  • Undertake project assessments including Part L (SAP, SBEM), BREEAM, HQM, PassiveHouse, etc.
  • Undertake Overheating simulations using IES VE software and present report findings.
  • Undertake energy surveys of buildings.
  • Prepare high quality information including sustainability assessments, planning reports, presentations.
To be considered for this role of Senior Sustainability Engineer, you will ideally:
  • Hold a degree in an Environmental or Building Sustainability related field
  • Be a Qualified SAP Assessor (OCDEA)
  • Be a Qualified NDEA L3/4/5
  • Be proficient in IES-VE
  • Detailed knowledge of low carbon and sustainable design and London Plan Energy Policy
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of the BREEAM process; ideally being a qualified assessor
