Our client is a leading software innovation group with a presence in London and Barcelona.After receiving £2.4m in additional investment, they have recently opened a brand-new office in the centre of Cardiff. This company has become one of the first tech start-ups to deliver value in the enterprise blockchain arena.The team will be developing an enterprise blockchain platform in Java/Kotlin using a microservices architecture and Google cloud services. You will typically write code in Kotlin, and they are using Angular 2.0 and Ionic for cross-platform mobile development. The product roadmap does also include looking at React and node and full training will be given in any languages you need to get up to speed with.As an Engineer, rather than just a Developer, you will help them build enterprise blockchain solutions that can be used globally across different industry sectors. You can expect to enjoy learning, growing, and pushing yourself and the products in new ways. And, of course, you will enjoy being part of a new team that will get training in new languages, be exposed to DevOps, automation and containerisation, a microservices way of thinking and they will walk you into the world of enterprise blockchain and its massive growth potential.This is a full-time, permanent position based in central Cardiff office (very near public transport services!). They have embraced home working and expect this to continue indefinitely, but occasional face-to-face meetings/team interaction in the office is likely. Also, there will be chances to travel.The Role:•Innovate, develop and build an enterprise blockchain application.• Support and pair with other members of the team to advance their team’s capabilities and capacity.Required:• 4+ years experience as a Software Engineer• Excellent knowledge of Java OR Kotlin• Use of Spring and microservice-based frameworks (or similar)• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similarDesired:• Experience of React or Node• Full-stack engineering• Devops experience building CI/CD pipelines• Experience with blockchain (or related) productsFor immediate consideration please send your CV in today.
