They are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer, to join their brilliant Product Engineering team. You will be Reporting to the Engineering Director. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer will use your engineering expertise to support the team in the optimisation,evolution and continual extension of their long-term clients complex and high traffic web application. You will use a combination of your solid experience with PHP and have a desire to work with more modern languages and frameworks, like Node/TypescriptWhat you will be doing.

  • Migrating functionality into more modern technology stacks.
  • Delivering world class product architecture and features for household names through to new-to-market start-ups.
  • Using problem-solving skills, developing new concepts to solve business and technical problems.
  • Taking ownership of a product, feature or task and seeing it through from conception to production.
  • Architecting solutions to complex problems.
  • Thoroughly testing code (and using TDD).
  • Using excellent written and oral communication, confidently explaining technical concepts to fellow developers, colleagues and clients.
  • Being an ambassador for the business and its values.
What you will need to succeed
  • A thirst for continuous development as a Full Stack Engineer.
  • Expert commercial experience in building and evolving complex web applications, conceiving suites of APIs and performant data storage solutions (relational and nonrelational)
  • Solid knowledge of PHP in a commercial environment, ideally with experience in the Laravel framework (although similar such as Symfony is good too!)
  • Good knowledge of React with state management concepts such as Redux.
  • Demonstrable experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Demonstrable experience in designing scalable UIs and large applications.
  • Experience of working with AWS or Azure infrastructure and tools.
  • Experience of handling queues of jobs and processes that manage the synchronisation of data into and out of the environments we manage.
  • Proficient skills with the command line and command line tools such as git.
  • Experience with CI/CD and modern best practises of deploying software.
