Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a Specialist SEN School in Ely, Cardiff, who are looking to assign a Specialist SEN Assistant to support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).The school caters for pupils aged 3-19 with complex physical and sensory impairments. It will be your role to support pupils to access a highly bespoke and tailored curriculum. You must have experience of supporting young people or adults with physical disabilitiesand/or additional needs. You will be comfortable providing personal care and would need to possess a Moving and Handling certificate as hoisting pupils will be essential.It is vital that you have knowledge and understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) and the ability to differentiate and adapt learning resources to meet individual pupil needs.
