Job Description

Opportunity for a quality manager to join a well-established market leader who has been trading for over 100 years. In return, the quality manager will receive a salary of £45,000 - £55,000, depending on experience, plus a pension of up to 7.5%, 25 days of holiday, and bank holidays.Working from a high-tech factory in Cardiff for a business known globally for innovation and product quality, supplying products to various industries.As the quality manager, you will lead a small quality engineering team, reporting to the managing director. Responsibilities will include: -

  • Responsibility for the business management system and all third-party company approvals.
  • Owning and improving the culture of quality within the organisation identifying compliance issues and improvements, and developing increased customer satisfaction whilst driving down costs associated with non-conformances and scrap.
  • Motivating internal stakeholders, developing direct reports and displaying leadership of quality throughout the organisation.
  • Leading the audit programme reporting to the senior leadership team trends on improvement actions and assisting in determining the organisations direction, supporting the business objectives and the quality policy.
  • Supporting the process of ensuring products meet the requirements of relevant industry-type approvals.
To apply for the quality manager position, you will need the following:
  • Experience gained as a quality manager within a machine shop, CNC, or engineering environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of ISO 9001, non-conformance management and process improvement.
  • Well-developed leadership skills.
