Job Description

My client is a fast-paced technology company based in Cardiff / London specialising in delivering voice services to global customers, ranging from 500 to 70,000 employees. Their customer base is global, with significant business in the UK, Continental Europe, and North America, while supporting these organisations worldwide. voice services include Microsoft Teams, Cisco Voice and Zoom, and supporting technology such as contact centres, call recording and analytics.They have gone through a rapid growth period, which is accelerating, resulting in their admission to the Tech Track 100 in the Sunday Times 2020 (the fastest privately owned British Tech Businesses)They are currently creating a team of Project Analysts to suppor the Project Managers (4 in total) This is going to be a newly created team reporting into a Senior project Manager based in Cardiff Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning - work with the Project Manager to prepare detailed plans for new projects, determining resource allocation, deliverable timelines, and possible issues.
  • Assist the Project Manager with project delivery and analysis tasks across multiple, often concurrent projects.
  • Co-ordinate individual project goals and milestones into an appropriate schedule.
  • Coordinate project schedules and prepare regular progress reports.
  • Assist the Project Manager in compiling weekly project status reports
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including timelines, resource plans, and meeting minutes.
  • Prepare presentations and regular status reports, providing key information about the project to external teams.
  • Identify and track interdependencies and risks, and co-ordinate required activities and players to ensure successful delivery.
  • Responsible for the delivery of small change items, or specific work packages within larger projects.
  • Oversee project activities in the Project Managers absence
  • Regularly update project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies (RAID) logs
  • Support the Project Manager with Project Health Checks
  • Attributes, Skills and Experience Analytical, planning, and organisational skills, with an ability to manage competing demands.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
  • Demonstrable track record of working on multiple initiatives in a project environment.
  • Ability to build and maintains effective relationships across competing areas and levels (sponsors, stakeholders, and end users).
  • Structured planning, organisation and time management skills.
  • Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the "big picture" view.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with relevant software programs.
  • Experience with stakeholder and financial management.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in project environments.
