Platform Cloud Engineer The primary responsibility of this position is to provide, manage, support, maintain availability, performance, and security of the company infrastructure mainly cloud based but with an element of on-premises network infrastructure across the offices. Collaboratewith others to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes. Perform day to day operations and maintenance of Linux, windows servers hosted in a hybrid environment, Azure platform and M365.We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with some working knowledge in DevOps and able to add value in managing and improving automation and release pipelines.Hybrid working £60,000CardiffFull administration duties for: Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Linux Server, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy (Configuration & Deployment), Windows 10, with a willingness to learn and develop advanced skills in these areas.Key skills/experience • Prior experience working in Financial Services (Desirable).• Azure experience.• Strong working knowledge in M365 and the Azure AD toolset• Good working knowledge of Azure Networking and firewalls.• Strong experience with Microsoft and Linux operating system environments• Knowledge of Scripting/programming languages Bash/PowerShell/Python• Awareness of DevOps and Agile principles• Familiarity with container orchestration services, e.g., Kubernetes (AKS/EKS)• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub ActionsOctopusTeams City) (Azure DevOps preferable)• Good working knowledge of App services• Knowledge of monitoring tools (PRTG/Grafana /New Relic)• IaC knowledge desirable.Qualifications• Microsoft Azure related qualifications (desirable): AZ-100; AZ-300; AZ-400; AZ-900Due to the volume of applications received for positions, it will not be possible to respond to all applications and only applicants who are considered suitable for interview will be contacted.Proactive Appointments Limited operates as an employment agency and employment business and is an equal opportunities organisationWe take our obligations to protect your personal data very seriously.
