Job Description

Great opportunity for a qualilfied or part qualified accountant to join a really interesting organisation.Good working culture with hybrid working. Strong excel skills required.Job purpose:To support the business with financial reporting and analysis for insightful decision making. Covering all aspects of business performance, including Turnover, Gross Profit, credit control overview, overheads, commercial analysis, budgeting, performancereporting. Information will need to be provided timely and concisely to support efficient business performance and reactive decision making. Supporting systems and process improvements where needed.Main duties:

  • To support Finance Director with:
  • Weekly GP reports
  • Monthly P&L reporting packs - including all analysis
  • Commercial KPI tools
  • Turnover reports
  • Overview of credit control performance
  • Overheads analysis
  • Commercial/Competitor analysis where appropriate
  • Sales/Product analysis
  • Pricing policy and data analysis on products/clients
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Continually improving reporting templates and analysis for added value to the business
  • Support with systems improvements
  • Ad hoc reporting/analysis required to support the finance and commercial teams
  • Work closely with Commercial teams through regular business partner meetings
Knowledge, skills and experience:Essential:
  • ACCA or equivalent (Part qualified considered)
  • Efficient user of Accounting systems, Word, Excel, powerpoint, RDB, staff plan. Including Advanced Excel skills and spreadsheet modelling.
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to deal with complex issues quickly and effectively
Quality:Essential:
