Job Description

With a commitment to excellence, we strive to match qualified candidates with reputablehealthcare organizations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.Position Overview: We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Locum Clinical Pharmacists (Band 6-8A) to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, collaborating with healthcareteams to optimize medication management, and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.Responsibilities:

  • Conduct medication reviews, reconcile discrepancies, and provide medication counselling to patients.
  • Participate in ward rounds, clinical meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions to contribute to patient care plans.
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services, including drug monitoring, dose adjustments, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Collaborate with prescribers and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and minimize adverse drug reactions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures related to medication management and pharmacy practice.
  • Mentor and support pharmacy staff, including technicians and junior pharmacists, in delivering pharmaceutical care services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Proven experience working as a Clinical Pharmacist in a hospital or clinical setting
  • Sound clinical knowledge and proficiency in pharmacotherapy and pharmaceutical care
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to professional standards
