Job Description

Legal Secretary - ConveyancingWe are seeking a highly organised and efficient Legal Secretary to support our clients conveyancing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal secretarial work, with a focus on property law and conveyancing. This role requires excellentattention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.Day to Day of the Role:

  • Provide comprehensive secretarial support to the conveyancing team, including document preparation, file management, and correspondence.
  • Liaise with clients, solicitors, and other professionals to facilitate smooth property transactions.
  • Manage diaries, schedule appointments, and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Prepare legal documents such as contracts, transfers, leases, and other conveyancing-related paperwork.
  • Conduct property searches and assist with the completion of property transactions.
  • Maintain and organise client files, ensuring confidentiality and data protection compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within conveyancing or property law.
  • Strong typing and IT skills, including proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Knowledge of the conveyancing process and property law terminology.
