Job Description

Law Costs Draftsman Cardiff £25,000 - £30,000My client is recruiting for a Law Costs Draftsman to join their Cardiff office. Their Cost Department is one of the largest costs teams in the UK. The team works closely with the Claimant teams within the firm while also providing general support for teamsthroughout the rest of the firm. The team work predominately on estimates, cost budgets, bill preparation and cost negotiations, they also attend court for detailed assessment and cost and case management hearings.As part of a team the successful candidate will:

  • Prepare Bills of Costs, primarily for personal injury claims but also for commercial dispute cases
  • Prepare Points of Dispute and Replies
  • Prepare Cost Budgets and attend CCMC hearings
  • Attend detailed assessment hearings
  • Mediate cost settlements
The successful candidate will have relevant experience in a similar Law Costs Draftsman role. They will have proven negotiation skills and be comfortable attending court for hearings.Good communication and strong IT skills are a must.
