Role: Junior Infrastructure EngineerLocation: Cardiff Salary: Up to £25,000 basic salaryDue to internal promotion, my client, who are a Data recovery business are looking for a Junior Infrastructure Engineer that is keen to learn and add to their skills and experience. You will provide network/security administration, support servers, Office 365 and Virtual Machines and be involved with general 2nd line support.This role requires travel which includes UK, Europe, Asia.Skills & Experience required:* 1-3 years minimum experience* Minimum Experience: Cisco, MS Windows, VMWare and willingness to put in work to learn the rest. * Office365 experience a plus.* Knowledge of Cisco switching and security devices.* Knowledge of Windows AD.* Respond to request and issues via ticketing system.* Assist in support, configure and maintain multi-site in-house corporate network and servers.* Install, configure and integrate new server, switching, cabling and security hardware and software.* Install, configure and deploy VMWare ESX servers and VMs.* Responsible for patches and security updates.* Maintain network performance and security by monitoring day to day activities.* Prepare and maintain documentation of network layout and configuration.* Research and recommend new equipment, software, solutions, ideas and approaches to systems, network and security.Desirable Skills & Experience:* Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Server OSs as well as Linux * Cisco certification a plus.* Cisco ISE experience a plus.* Knowledge of Solaris, AIX, AS400, HPUX and others a plus.If you have the relevant skills and experience for this role please send an updated CV to or call Aimee for more information on By applying to this advert you are giving CPS Group (UK) Ltd authority to hold and process your data for this specific role and any other roles we may deem suitable to you over time.
