Job Description

IT Support Manager

A new business to hit Cardiff City Centre are looking for an experienced IT Support Manager to help drive the business through a significant period of growth.Reporting to the Head of IT Operations the IT Support Manager will lead the technical support team, overseeing day-to-day operations, service desk functions, and field services support operations. The focus will be on ensuring an exceptional customer experience,following ITIL methodology, and upholding ISO27001 standards.IT Support Manager will play a key role in growing the IT support function and will need to be prepared to roll up those sleeves!IT Support Manager Responsibilities:
  • Manage & grow the IT Support team
  • Drive continuous improvement for an excellent customer experience.
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert, providing hands-on support.
  • Manage major incidents and maintain 24/7 system operations.
  • Lead adherence to incident, change, problem, and release management processes.
  • Oversee ITSM queues, system administration, and cloud-based ITSM support.
  • Provide clear reporting on team performance, SLAs, KPIs, and trends.
  • Facilitate professional development, addressing skill gaps through training and mentoring.
  • Implement and maintain asset management routines and support ISO27001 standards.
  • Provide insight to align IT support with organisational needs and growth demands.
  • Collaborate on the implementation of IT strategies and projects.
IT Support Manager Key Skills and Experiences:
  • Proven leadership
  • Driving continuous improvement.
  • Major incident management and problem resolution.
  • Knowledge of ISO27001 standards
  • Working knowledge of O365, Azure, Windows infrastructure, and networking.
  • Competence in team performance management and strategic insight.
  • Experience in project delivery
