Job Description

Acorn Recruitment is currently looking for experienced Housekeepers within the Cardiff area. As a Housekeeper for our client, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness, and improving the overall appearance of Serviced Apartmentsand offices on a day-to-day basis.Working hours:* 10am-3pm* Candidates need to be flexible to work longer if requiredTravel:* Located within Cardiff city centre, so very accessible via public transportResponsibilities:* Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors* Dusting, brushing, polishing furniture* Cleaning appliances and structural surfaces (e.g. cookers, wall fixtures, window and window sills)* Cleaning crockery, utensils and all other kitchen items* Changing linen, making beds and checking for damaged linen* Emptying linen from housekeeping cart into laundry cart* Cleaning showers, bathtubs, sinks and bathroom items* Replenishing guest amenities and supplies* Inspecting rooms for safety hazards and for the operating condition of equipment and reporting same to maintenance* Reporting lost and found articles, maintenance problems, or special room problems (e.g. pets in the room) to a supervisor* Maintaining storage rooms* Advising a Supervisor when the apartments are ready or completed* Providing information to guests about hotel services, facilities and other amenities where possible or refer the guests to Reception* Providing information to guests about local attractions/services where possible to refer the guest to Reception* Preparing rooms for guest arrival and responding to special guest requests, such as cleaning a spill* Listening to guests requests or complaints and advise supervisor* To be responsible for Section keys whilst in your care* To show willingness to take on additional responsibilities* To ensure that you comply with the company dress code at all times* Other duties as defined as reasonable by the management of the companyExperience needed:* Housekeeping experience is essentialFor more information about this role, please contact Jon at Acorn Recruitment on .Acorn Recruitment Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
