Acorn Recruitment is seeking Hostel Support Workers on behalf of their client, with the successful applicants to work throughout Cardiff. Our client is looking for reliable, driven individuals, with a can-do attitude. Direct experience is not essentialfor this role, but transferable skills will be necessary.Full training, development and progression opportunities are available for the applicants who demonstrate thorough interest and skills.Duties to include:* Assist with the provision of hostel accommodation as reasonably required* Ensure the efficient and effective running of the hostel service and the welfare of residents* Provide appropriate advice and assistance to vulnerable people in crisis, as part of the advice, support and health care access service* Encourage and facilitate the provision of additional support and access to healthcare services as required* Carry out general office duties as reasonably required (maintaining records and providing monitoring information as required, etc.)* Actively support the development of current and emerging technology* Support the principles and practice of equality of opportunity, as laid down in the organisations Equal Opportunities Policy* Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by your acts and omissions* Comply with all health and safety legislation as appropriatePay: £10.39 - £20.78 per hourHours: Your hours of work can be discussed, however our client is looking for someone to be as flexible as possible as they run a 24/7 service and various shifts and time will be available.For more information on this job role, please get in touch with Melissa Skoczek at Acorn Recruitment.Acorn Recruitment Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
