I am working with an NHS Organisation based in Cardiff who are looking for an experienced Financial Systems Manager.The role is temporary for 2 months initially with a view of becoming permanent thereafter.The role is full time, to start ASAP and paying £22.76 PAYE or £29.73 umbrella per hour. The role is in scope of IR35.The Finance team work on the basis of 50% of time in the office as a minimum. So typically 3 days one week and 2 days the following week. Homeworking equipment will be provided.Job purpose* To promote and develop sustainable business solutions for the Finance Department in furtherance of the modernisation agenda. To deliver effective automation and business change ensuring the maximum realisation of benefits to the UHB. * To support the Senior Finance Business Partner for Systems and Modernisation and assist in full assessment of the accounting implications of all aspects of the Finance Management Business Systems to ensure integrity of processes and accounting records andthat they comply with agreed procedures. * To deliver and promote these solutions across the UHB and to liaise effectively with our strategic partners and our receiving departments. * To support the Senior Finance Business Partner for Systems and Modernisation in managing the All Wales aspects of the Oracle Project. * Develop and maintain finance business intelligence systems including data feeds from subsidiary systems. linking in with the UHBs Information department where necessary. * Provide support to the Clinical Boards to ensure financial information is both timely and robust. * Maintain models and reports to extract payroll and agency data from the rostering systems and to calculate, and to process monthly accruals * To interpret and evaluate the effect of pay award and to calculate and allocate budget funding * Respond to financial elements within Freedom of Information requests Essential qualifications* Degree in Information and IT related subject or equivalent qualification or experience. Essential experience* Previous experience in managing, maintaining and developing information systems * Must have an excellent grounding in systems, process and control * Previous experience of managing and developing recognised reporting systems e.g. Qlikview, QlikSense, Power BI, Tableau. * Experience of designing and maintaining databases and good working knowledge of writing SQL statements * Ability to develop and maintain good relationships, with a highly developed sense of customer awareness, and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of specialists. * Experience of project managing a range of projects Please only apply for this role if you have all the essential skills, knowledge and experience as mentuoned above.As the role is to start ASAP please only apply if you are available to start work on no more than 2 weeks notice.Thank youCharlotteEden Brown Synergy is an equal opportunities employer.
