Job Description

CALLING ALL FINANCE MANAGERS AND FINANCIAL CONTROLLERSI am working with a Financial Director in Cardiff who is looking for an experienced Finance Manager or Financial Controller to be his number 2 and is offering a salary of up to £65,000 and a company car! This is a really exciting BRAND-NEW opportunity tosupport a massively successful and growing business and to lead a fun dynamic Finance team. It is not essential to be qualified for this role, it is all about experience and what you can bring to the team.What is the day-to-day of the role:

  • To review all management accounts prior to distribution
  • Preparation of financial reports and analysis for the Board.
  • Ensure company has sufficient cash availability to meet its commitments, including weekly cashflow reporting.
  • Close management and reporting of Stock funding lines – line values @ £40m
  • Individual Departmental Stock reporting and control – circa £25m of stock held at any point in time.
  • The overseeing of company financial reporting to Mercedes Benz, Daimler Truck and Maxus
  • To review statutory accounts prior to audit.
  • To carry out internal audit checks in order to eliminate the possibility of fraudulent or incorrect business practices.
  • To control the acquisition and disposal of assets including the raising of new capital and financing arrangements.
  • To maintain adequate insurance cover for the company and to explore the market annually to obtain the best quotation.
  • Financial overview for other associated companies as required.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts for other associated companies where required.
  • To recommend optimum requirement in relation to enhanced IT systems and telecoms.
  • In conjunction with the Directors and senior management teams to prepare, implement and deliver business strategies.
  • In conjunction with the Directors and senior management teams, prepare and present the annual budget as recommended by management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager
  • Excellent Management accounting experience essential
  • Experience managing and developing a Finance team
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Understanding of stock control desirable
  • Good IT understanding & knowledge desirable
  • It is not essential to be qualified for this role, it is all about experience
