Job Description

Design Assurance EngineerCardiff Competitive salary, hybrid/flexible workingYolk Recruitment is partnered with a well established and rapidly growing medical device business in the recruitment of a Design Assurance Engineer at their state of the art UK HQ. Youll be a part of a multi-disciplinary product development team involved in taking projects from concept through to manufacturing and release, involved in the generation of design inputs and supporting design activity with specific focus on risk managementand design verification and validation. This is what you will be doing as Design Assurance Engineer

  • Involvement in the full project lifecycle from initial design/development to product transfer to manufacturing and product release
  • Participate in developing Design Inputs
  • Lead Risk Management activities, ensuring risk control measures are recorded and managed.
  • To liaise with other departments and sites in order to provide a rapid and thorough response to engineering issues
  • Ensure adequacy of verification and validation testing.
  • Ensure projects are completed according to the required documentation, applicable SOPs, and Design and Development Plan.
  • Read and review project documentation for comprehension, thoroughness, and completeness.
  • Ensure that characteristics critical to quality and inspection characteristics are included on drawings/specifications.
  • Support the Design and Supply Chain leads in the creation of the DMR, DHF, TF and RMF for approval
  • To liaise with other departments and sites in order to ensure a smooth and rapid transition of new products from design to manufacture/test
This is the experience you will bring
  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineer discipline
  • Experience in a regulated industry: medical, aerospace/aviation, defence, automotive
  • Experience managing multiple projects
  • Experience in a product design environment
