The Cyber Security Officer will provide advice and guidance to the business on all Cyber and Network Infrastructure matters,working to mature and strengthen their technical Security landscape and controls.Due to the nature of this engagement, candidates must hold active UK Security Clearance (SC) or Counter-Terrorism Clearance (CTC).The role requires 4 days per week working at their Cardiff HQ, with one day remote working per week.Role Requirements* Internal PEN testing remedial work* External (vendor provided) vulnerability remediation and assessment of provided scans.* Monitoring network for vulnerable and unacceptable devices* Assist internal team(s) with escalated issues cyber and non cyber related issues & faults* Investigate/assist with any possible email/phishing leaks * Develop and maintain staff compliance for in-house cyber security training.* Liaison with multiple 3rd Parties to maintain updates and urgent fix releases (e.g. firewalls & servers)* Monitor Cloudflare website infrastructure for potential DDos activity and follow-up if required* Monitor Barracuda network security platform for risk trends in email activity and phishing campaigns.* Research, implementation and enhancement of new security technology and methods, e.g. MFA, VPN and other ways to secure workflows* Work with 3rd Parties implementing planned fixes and improvementsRequired Skills & Experience* 3-5 years experience in Cyber Security Engineering and/or Consultancy* Strong knowledge of Cyber Security technologies and how to implement changes and strategies to improve Cyber Security landscape* Strong knowledge of third-party cyber vendors and associated products/platforms* Ability to upskill and guide internal team(s) on cyber security* Active holder of UK SC or CTC Clearance* Able to work on-site in Cardiff 4 days per weekFor more information or immediate consideration for this opportunity, please contact Charlie Grant at CPS Group UK on or email By applying to this advert you are giving CPS Group (UK) Ltd authority to hold and process your data for this specific role and any other roles we may deem suitable to you over time.
