Job Description

We have an excellent career opportunity for a Supplier Account Executive at Europe’s leading procurement platform, interacting with hundreds of suppliers, thousands of manufacturers and over a million business customers. This role will enable you to workwith large corporate clients and small SME’s, supporting businesses to realise enormous amounts of procurement process efficiencies. Our client employs 600 staff and operates across 14 European Countries.As the Supplier Account Executive, you’ll work from our client’s beautiful modern office situated in Cardiff City Centre, there’s a coffee shop and well furnished break out area on site as well as a train station, bus routes and bars and restaurants nearby.You’ll work with a close-knit team, reporting into the Senior Supplier Manager, you’ll have lots of contact with an inspirational MD who’s focused on maintaining a business that puts people first, rewards hard work, develops talent and supports his employeesto be the best they can be.What Youll Do:

  • Identify new suppliers through lead generation.
  • Track new leads; qualifying and converting them into suppliers.
  • Utilise excellent stakeholder engagement and verbal communication skills to explain the value and benefits of supplying our platform, and the reach we can provide.
  • Build a robust network across the country with key suppliers.
  • Work strategically with senior leaders within the business to analyse data, and identify new avenues to grow and develop the business.
  • Negotiate and agree individual supplier terms and conditions and take the on-boarding through to the contractual phase, where Account Managers and legal experts will then take over.
  • Work with the wider business in Europe on the on-boarding of new suppliers and integration of their product catalogues on to our platform.
What Youll Need:
  • A background or expertise in sales or account management; a track record of identifying and qualifying leads is crucial.
  • Excellent networking and rapport building skills. You should enjoy speaking with new people!
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to deliver pitches and presentations, and written follow ups and reports.
  • Great work ethic, and good problem-solving skills
What Youll Get:
  • A salary between £25,000 - £27,000 DOE
